R.W. Thompson Construction, Inc., would like to introduce ourselves and give you a little background as to what sets us apart in our approach to construction in both residential and commercial projects. Bob Thompson, Owner and President of R.W. Thompson Construction, Inc., began his construction career in 1982 working for a large developer as the material expediter, aka the “gofer” with a strong work ethic and continuous exposure to construction, Bob became assistant superintendent in a few short years. Understanding the trade on paper and desiring to learn more of a hands on application, Bob had an opportunity to branch out with two of the company’s partners. With tool bags on beginning with the land development to the most intricate of finish details, building custom homes, numerous remodels and additions throughout the Bay Area and Tahoe. On the commercial side, Bob has worked on projects such as the Lafayette Park Hotel, The Claremont Resort, and the Ritz Carleton. Building and decommissioning level 5 clean rooms for high tech industry as well as working at the Hillsdale Shopping Center building See’s Candy. Leaving his former company as the Vice President and General Superintendent after 24 years of continuous exposure and training by the best the building industry had to offer, Bob began his own company implementing 27 plus years of his own ideas and business philosophy. A quote from Proverbs “By wisdom a house is built and by understanding it is established and by knowledge, the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” R.W. Thompson Construction, Inc., brings this wisdom, understanding and knowledge to all projects they are entrusted with, residential or commercial, large or small. This comes with employing some of the best craftsman and subcontractors the industry offers. Men and women of quality character with the ability to work alongside architects and designers, able to picture the finished project before construction begins.
